where are you from?
eleven34 Communities began with a deep desire to cultivate and multiply authentic community in Southwest Salt Lake County. Founded in 2024 by Steve and Courtney Cohen, this vision emerged from over two decades of ministry experience across churches of all sizes—from intimate 10-person church plants and micro-churches to expansive 45,000-person megachurches. Steve and Courtney have truly “seen it all.”
God’s recent prompting challenged them to leave behind the comforts of their home, church, and deepest relationships in Texas. Their journey was fueled by a calling to create something different—something beyond religious checkboxes. They committed to pursuing real, transformative community fueled by Jesus’ core directives to His followers:

At eleven34 Communities, we actively engage in initiatives designed to foster growth, connection, and spiritual multiplication:
– eleven34 Gatherings
These are intentional spaces where disciples make disciples through a Jesus-expressed and Holy Spirit-inspired model revealed throughout Scripture. We believe every person has something valuable to contribute, and there’s always room for one more. These gatherings are designed for genuine connection and spiritual growth, staying intentionally small to encourage deeper relationships.
– discipleship
We believe discipleship is much more than simply making converts. It involves meeting people where they are on their journey and walking alongside them as they grow to become more like Jesus. It’s a lifelong continuous process of transformation and learning.
– multiplication
Our vision extends beyond our own gatherings. Multiplication means stepping beyond our “holy huddles” to bring those outside the circle into a life-giving relationship with God and others. This initiative requires the development of leaders, allows for deeper dependence on the Holy Spirit, and encourages more genuine relationships as our gatherings stay intentionally small.
